About · Our approach
Built around your decision, not a standard report.
Every engagement starts with the decision you need to make and ends with a clear recommendation. In between, we gather the evidence that matters — and show you exactly where it came from.
Principles
What we hold ourselves to
- Start with the decisionWe scope research around the choice in front of you — enter or not, which segment, what price — not around a generic topic.
- Every number shows its sourceFigures in our work are traceable to a named source or to the respondents we spoke to, with assumptions written down so they can be challenged.
- Evidence over opinionWe say what the evidence supports, flag where it is thin, and separate findings from our judgement.
- Clarity over volumeA few sharp findings and a recommendation are worth more than a long report. We write for the people who will act on it.
- Senior involvement throughoutThe people who scope your project stay involved through fieldwork, analysis and the debrief.
- Honest about uncertaintyWhere a question cannot be answered with confidence, we tell you — and suggest how to reduce the uncertainty.
How an engagement works
From first call to recommendation
- 1
Scoping call
A short conversation to understand the decision, audiences, geography, timing and budget.
- 2
Proposal
Approach, sample, deliverables, timeline and fees — in writing, before any work starts.
- 3
Research
Secondary research, interviews and surveys as agreed, with progress check-ins and early signals shared.
- 4
Analysis & debrief
Findings, implications and recommendations presented to your team, with time for questions.
- 5
Follow-up
Support as you act on the findings — and a check on whether the decision delivered what you expected.
What you receive
Deliverables you can use
- Executive summaryThe answer to your question and our recommendation, readable in a few minutes.
- Detailed findingsA report or presentation with the evidence, segment detail and sources.
- Working outputsMarket models, segmentation, journey maps or interview syntheses, as agreed — not locked away.
- Debrief sessionA working session with your team to test the findings and agree next steps.
What we won’t do
Lines we don’t cross
- Invent data, clients or quotesWe never fabricate statistics, respondents, testimonials or results — on our website or in client work.
- Publish numbers we can’t traceIf we can’t show how a figure was built, we don’t present it as fact.
- Overstate certaintySmall samples and early signals are labelled as such.
- Share your informationYour briefs, data and findings stay confidential and are used only for your project.
A note on our case studies: the engagements shown on this site are labelled “Example engagement”. They show how we approach each type of question; they are not accounts of specific client projects. We will publish client case studies only with the client’s written approval.
